Sometimes Never - GX's new book

Noise artist and SRL crew member GX Jupitter-Larsen has a new book out called Sometimes Never his first in 17 years. Published by Crossing Chaos, it's about a spy, who while observing Kettleday, reflects on a series of fanatic coincidences that take place on several planets. John Law Book Signing

John is having a signing for his book O' short stories Thursday night March 5 2009 at City Lights, 7PM. There will be a slide show with stories of various Bridge adventures over the years. After the signing/reading/slide show at City Lights, people are jumping on Chicken John's bus for a late night tour (with drinks) of various Bay Area Bridges. John will pass the hat for gas & beer for this part of the evening. It should be a blast.

Beautiful Light Unveiled

David Therrien's latest piece 4 LETTER WORD MACHINE was unveiled January 16 2009 in Scottsdale, AZ.





According to David: "It uses over 600KW - driven by a 1200HP, 1.25 MW generator. 100' high, 80' across. Control switches are 480/277 - manually operated, fully exposed (on the neutral), very old school music box style."

Michael Shiloh and Judy Castro Speak in Munich

Judy Castro and Michael Shiloh have been invited to speak at DLD (Digital Life Design) Conference in Munich on January 25-27.

They will be speaking about art and technology in the Bay Area and the specific groups there such as Survival Research Labs, Burning Man, the Shipyard, Nimby, etc.

SRL Friend Joan Jeanrenaud nominated for a Grammy

Joan has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance to be held on Feb 8 2009.
